Partnering Sponsors

Making Meaning: A Collage Symposium is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors. Their partnership helps sustain our program, exhibitions, and documentation, while fostering dialogue around the history and contemporary practice of collage. We are grateful for their commitment to this work.

Collé is a curatorial platform and weekly newsletter dedicated to collage in all its forms. Each week, we publish in-depth interviews with artists from around the world. We've now archived over 300 conversations that together form a living record of contemporary collage. Our editorial focus is direct: we let artists speak for themselves, in their own words, about process, materials, and what draws them to the medium.

Beyond publishing, Collé offers collage kits and hands-on workshops designed to make the practice accessible to new and experienced makers alike. We believe that building a community around collage means creating multiple points of entry, for the artists who make it, the collectors who live with it, and anyone drawn to the form.

Collé is published weekly and the full archive is available at revuecolle.com

Kanyer Publishing LLC and The Kanyer Art Collection

Recently invited symposium sponsors Kanyer Publishing LLC and The Kanyer Art Collection and

Historical Archive of Collage were founded for the purpose of amplifying collage-making and highlighting it as a tool for making meaning in life by expanding social and emotional literacy using Collage Care: The Method™.

The Kanyers began to collect art in 1978, and in 2016 they expanded their efforts by gathering collage internationally to build a historical archive. They are one of very few collectors internationally who focus exclusively on collage.

In 2024 Dr. Freya Gowrley became the Curator for The Collection, and she now personally owns several of the collages therein. The Kanyer’s underwriting for this symposium intends to support the keynote address by Dr. Gowrley and reinforce the archival documentation of the event.

Since 2021, Kanyer Publishing LLC has released nine books on collage. This includes four books on Collage Care: The Method™ and Black Collagist: The Book by Teri Henderson.

They are currently focusing their efforts on ensuring Collage Care: The Method™ is available for self-study and for use in groups.

Books by Kanyer Publishing are available on Amazon and at KanyerArtCollection.com.
